Sugarcoated was my graduate school thesis exhibition. Most of the figures are child-sized and exist within individualized tableaus. The color scheme is muted and reflects a clear division between the figures themselves and the adornments that belong to an imaginary world. This grouping uses adolescent and animal/human imagery to explore the influences that exert themselves on us during transitional times in our lives and affect how we construct our identities.
